I became a lactation consultant to help families achieve their infant feeding goals.

MY Mission

My mission is to provide evidence-based guidance to families on their newborn and infant feeding goals, in a judgement-free space, so you and your family have an enjoyable experience.

How do i work

I come from a clinical nutrition background, so I am used shorter, more focused visits, addressing the more pressing issues at a time, while addressing underlying factors in feasible, bite-size recommendations. In my lactation practice, I prefer to work with short, multiple visits - although this is not easy in NYC (where I commute an average of 45min to a consult)… I offer 3 options for consultations, and clients can choose what works best for them and their families: in-person home visits, office visits, and online consultation.

In all options, we work together identifying your goals, and creating a plan to help you achieve it. My goal is that you have an enjoyable infant feeding experience. Please note that, as in any health care service, some situations are more complex and cannot be resolved in a single visit. I will let you know at the time of the visit if follow ups are necessary. Follow up visits have a lower fee.

In-person home and office visits: 90-120 minutes. During those visits, I try to cover most of your lactation concerns, so those visits are dense. Expect to get a lot of information. In-person visits require follow-ups in order to address medium and complex breastfeeding situations.

Online consults: I cap online visits at 60min. During those short visits, I will address your concerns in smaller, feasible actions. Online visits require follow-ups in order to address all breastfeeding situations. The number of necessary follow-ups depend on the case. I often recommend those visits for parents who are overwhelmed and prefer more frequent contact with a provider - that is, me :). Together we will find a small change you can make to put you back in an enjoyable journey and, on each visit, I will help you with another step forward.
